Burke Beardsley

Burke Beardsley
Burke Beardsley formed Bay Adventures in 1998.
In addition to running Bay Adventures, Burke Beardsley currently serves as a licensed captain for the Blue and Gold Fleet here on the San Francisco Bay piloting the second-generation high-speed ferries. His duties for the Blue and Gold fleet beyond piloting the fastest ferries on the West Coast include training new captains, and maintaining CPR and first aid certification. He holds a US Coast Guard 200-ton Master Mariners license.
Burke is a native Californian, born and raised in Tiborun California. He attended Redwood High and started sailing at 11. He served 5 years in the US Coast Guard primarily performing high sea rescues. He spent two years piloting dive and sailboats based out of ST. Thomas USVI. He is a licensed Dive Instructor.
He returned to the bay area and served as Captain and training officer for Hornblower Yachts. He then spent 5 years working for Crowley Maritime's Red and White Fleet. He has been employed at his current position as one of the senior Captains at the Blue and Gold Fleet for the past 7 years. He has been serving as Captain and running Bay Adventures simultaneously for the past 3 years.
In his work he found a need for boat rentals on the San Francisco Bay and the types of services he provides. Bay Adventures offers a unique array of maritime services with the foundation of solid experience.
Mr. Beardsley holds a bachelor's degree from Sonoma State University.
